This candlestick was commissioned as an engagement present and was designed to have a resemblance to another candlestick in the family. This is different and improved. The 'original' dripped wax whereas this has cups. |

This piece developed with time. The hollow candlesticks were originally the same size, but I decided to stagger the heights. (I made a small triangular box with the offcut from the smallest candle.) I later added the snuffer on its stand. The tip of each candlestick goes to a sharp point which supports the candle. The dishes are removable for easier cleaning. I have to thank my friends Mike Marsh and John Eyre for the base assembly. |

These candlesticks come apart for easy cleaning. There is a central shaft with a spike for the candle at the top and a thread for a silver wing nut to hold the two bowls. The largest is 14cm high |

Small wee willie winky candlestick

A traditional design with a raised edge and fabricated candle holder and handle. I decided against just a simple ring for the handle to make it easier to hold upright. The diameter is 8 cm. |

Large wee willie winky candlestick

The big brother with a standard round handle has a dappled base some 12 cm in diameter. |

These candlesticks were made for my wife by
Richard Shock from Purpleheart. I've added the silver surrounds which accentuate the flickering candle flame and hide the aluminium cup of the tea light.
