This is a Delft clay cast of a small ammonite fossil - it's about 15 mm wide and weighs about 15g. I have other versions where I have altered the mould so that the back is flat, making a lighter pendant. I also have another from a large ammonite which is about 40 mm across. Though I've cast it half thickness, it's still heavy! |

These two are a combination of delft clay casting for the ammonite and salt casting for the lower part.

Fossils from the Stonesfield area of Oxfordshire

If anyone can identify them, I would be most interested. See also an arrowhead found in the Stonesfield area made into a pendant. |

Sea urchin (echinoid)

|
A silver copy of an echinoid – sea urchin – Cretaceous period - from Taouz in Morocco. A delft clay cast which has captured some of the fine detail of the fossil, but a better photo is needed.
